This is a new Browning Maxus semi-automatic 12-gauge wearing Mossy Oak Shadow Grass camo over the whole gun. The barrel is 28 inches and the chamber accepts 3.5-inch shells, which takes the heaviest waterfowl magnums as well as standard loads. Length of pull is 14.43 inches. UPC 023614740797.

Shadow Grass is a marsh pattern, so this configuration points toward the flooded timber and impoundments of the Lowcountry and Pee Dee rather than the dove field. Because South Carolina allows any legal firearm for deer, the same gun can carry into a Game Zone 3 stand from August 15, or a Game Zone 4 stand from September 1 when guns open there. The 3.5-inch chamber is the point of the Maxus: one receiver that handles the full range of 12-gauge shells, so one shotgun covers the whole season from early deer to late ducks.
