The Beretta A300 Ultima is a semi-automatic 12 gauge field shotgun. This example carries a 28-inch vent rib barrel with a removable choke and a chamber that accepts both 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch shells. A fiber-optic front sight sits at the muzzle, the metal and the synthetic stock wear a RealTree MAX-7 camouflage finish, and length of pull measures 14.25 inches. Our record grades the gun as used, while the supplier text describes it as new and shows a stock photo, so ask for pictures of the actual piece before you decide.

For South Carolina hunters this is a gun for the long Game Zone 3 deer season, which opens on private land in the Midlands and Lowcountry on August 15 and runs to January 1, with firearms legal from the first day. The 3-inch chamber covers heavier loads, and the camo pattern suits a stand in early-season foliage. Every deer taken is tagged and entered in SC Game Check by midnight.
