Sig's P365 Xmacro Tacops is a new striker-fired 9mm with a 3.7-inch barrel on a compact polymer frame, finished in Nitron. The slide is optics ready and wears XRAY3 day/night sights, the slide release is extended, and the frame has a flared magwell. Four 17-round magazines are in the box. UPC 798681681686; the listing photo is a stock image.

Seventeen rounds in a frame this size, plus a flared well and an extended release, make the Tacops a carry gun that also runs well in a weekend match. South Carolina issues a concealed weapons permit that many dealers accept instead of the counter background check, and the state has no purchase permit, registry or waiting period, so the dealer clears you and the pistol goes home. Night sights count on an early winter evening in Columbia, and the optic cut is there when you want a dot.
