Remington Target Model 12-C N.R.A. Rifle .22

Remington's Model 12-C in the N.R.A. Target configuration, serial 421515, made about 1918: a pump-action .22 takedown rifle with a 24-inch octagon barrel. The sights are an adjustable Lyman globe up front and a Lyman tang peep at the rear, with a filler block in the original rear dovetail. Walnut forend and butt stock, curved steel butt plate. The metal is an old reblue, there are handling marks, the bore is dark with some pitting though the rifling shows, and the overall grade is good. Sold on consignment.

This is a rifle for the South Carolina collector of early American target .22s, or for someone who wants to shoot an old pump at a club range with sights built for paper. The takedown design lets it ride in a short case. The old reblue and the dark bore keep it out of the original-finish class, so treat it as a shooter with history rather than a collector-grade example.
