Kinko menuki, the small ornaments fitted under the wrap of a Japanese sword hilt, worked in gold, silver and shakudo. The subject is a duck together with a figure holding vessels. The supplier rates the condition as excellent. They are sold as used antique fittings, and no measurements, signature or box are mentioned in the description.

Menuki in three metals with a figural subject give a South Carolina collector a compact, colorful piece for a fittings case, and in excellent condition they are also ready for a hilt being rewrapped in period style. The duck and the figure read as a single scene, which is what makes them worth examining close up under a glass. Ask for scale photographs if you plan to mount them, since size is not given, and confirm whether the listing is a single menuki or a pair.
