Henry's Explorer carbine, model H012XCW, is a modern-production lever action in .44 Magnum with a 16.5-inch threaded barrel, a burnt bronze finish and a walnut stock. Serial BBS00360XCW. It is in excellent condition and comes with its box. The bronze metal and the threaded muzzle set it apart from Henry's traditional blued lever guns.

Any legal firearm may be used for deer in South Carolina, and a carbine this short is at home in a climbing stand or a ground blind in Game Zone 3, where private land opens August 15 and runs to January 1, or in the Upstate from October 11. A .44 Magnum lever gun shares its cartridge with a .44 revolver, so one box of ammunition feeds both. The included box and the excellent grade make this a clean buy for someone who wants an Explorer without ordering new. Tag each deer and enter it in SC Game Check by midnight.
